MBACP Registered & MNCS Accredited
Qualified Humanistic Gestalt Counsellor
I am a fully qualified Humanistic Gestalt Counsellor who has worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and presenting issues. I have worked as a counsellor for local mental health charities, NHS patients via IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) services, and in the higher education sector.
Alongside private practice, I also work in Occupational Health as a counsellor for NHS staff. I have supported clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic who have been experiencing anxiety, depression, work-related issues, grief, isolation, and more.
Prior to working in mental health, I obtained a BA (Hons) Business degree and have worked in a diverse range of organisational settings. These experiences have provided me with a great insight into how challenging these different work environments can be. If you are experiencing stress, burn-out, bullying, or other work-related issues, it can impact your mental health and other areas of your life.
Being kind to ourselves is not always easy to do when we are struggling, and it can often help to talk to someone who is not involved in our lives on a personal level, to gain a better understanding of ourselves or our situation.
I am an Accredited Registered Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS21-01469) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) (389884)
As a registered member of the BACP, I follow their Ethical Framework which you can find here.
