What is Counselling?
A safe and confidential space to talk about what is on your mind without judgement. I don't give advice or tell you what to do and there is no compulsory homework between sessions.
For a full description of what counselling is, click here to see what the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) says.
How many sessions do you provide?
I provide weekly counselling sessions for a period of anything between 8-weeks and 12-months.
The pre-determined length of counselling is helpful to the process of structuring your therapy and is something we can discuss when we first meet.
Where in the UK are you and do I have to live locally?
I am located in North Wales, however I deliver Online Counselling no matter where you are based within the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland).
Can I get a mental health diagnosis from you?
As a counsellor, I do not diagnose you for any mental health conditions, nor do I prescribe or give advice on medications. If this is what you are looking for, please speak to your GP who may refer you to a psychiatrist.
What are your qualifications?
I am a fully trained and qualified counsellor and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Humanistic Gestalt Counselling with Distinction.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (MNCS)
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
